The short version. HiveShop is a classifieds board, not a shop. We introduce buyers and sellers; we do not hold the item, take the payment, or ship anything. Meet safely, inspect before you pay, and keep your own records.

1. What HiveShop is

HiveShop is an online marketplace that lets people in the Philippines list items for sale and contact each other directly. Under the Internet Transactions Act of 2023 (Republic Act No. 11967) we act as a digital platform: the contract of sale is between the buyer and the seller, not with us. We are not a party to your transaction and we hold no funds in escrow.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate contact details.
  • You are responsible for everything done through your account. Never share your one-time login codes with anyone — not even someone claiming to be from HiveShop.
  • One person, one account. We may suspend duplicate or impersonating accounts.

3. Rules for listings

When you publish a listing you confirm that you own the item or are authorised to sell it, that your description, photos and price are truthful, and that the sale is lawful. You keep ownership of your content; you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display, resize and promote it within HiveShop.

You may not list, among other things:

  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, or weapons requiring a permit;
  • Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, or prescription medicine;
  • Counterfeit, replica or pirated goods;
  • Stolen property, or items with removed or altered serial numbers;
  • Live animals, wildlife, or protected flora and fauna;
  • Human remains, body parts, blood or organs;
  • Government-issued IDs, licences, or official documents;
  • Adult or sexually explicit material, and any sexual service;
  • Tobacco, vapes or alcohol where prohibited, and unregistered food or cosmetic products;
  • Financial instruments, lending, investment or "double-your-money" schemes;
  • Stolen data, hacked accounts, or anything that infringes another person's rights.

We may edit a listing's category, reject it, hide it, or remove it without prior notice if it breaks these rules, and we may suspend repeat offenders. Listings expire automatically after the period shown in the app; you can renew them from your dashboard.

4. Fees

Listing and browsing on HiveShop are currently free. We charge no commission on sales. If we introduce paid features (for example, featured placement) we will state the price clearly before you are charged.

5. Buying safely

  • Meet in a public place, in daylight, and bring someone with you where possible.
  • Inspect and test the item before you pay. For electronics, check the IMEI or serial.
  • Prefer cash on meet-up or cash-on-delivery. Be very careful with advance deposits and with any request to move the conversation to an unfamiliar payment link.
  • Keep screenshots of your conversation, the listing and any receipt.
  • Report anything suspicious using the Report button on the listing.

6. Consumer rights

Sales on HiveShop remain subject to the Consumer Act of the Philippines (RA 7394) and RA 11967. Sellers acting in the course of business must honour their warranties and the item's fitness for purpose. Disputes are between the buyer and the seller; we will cooperate with legitimate requests and with the Department of Trade and Industry where required, and we may share listing records in response to lawful process.

7. Our role and limits

We do not inspect, verify or guarantee items, listings, or users. HiveShop is provided "as is" and we do not promise uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, vHive Solutions is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, or for any loss arising out of a transaction between users. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Intellectual property

The HiveShop name, look and software are ours. Do not scrape, copy or resell our listing data, or use automated tools against the site, without written permission.

9. Suspension and termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms other users, or exposes us to legal risk.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version, and continued use means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the courts of Quezon City, Metro Manila have jurisdiction.
